MOOTUK11 - Update

All you need to know about workshops, sponsors, pre-Moot Unconference, the UK Moot and Evening Do

Time flies and this time in six weeks MoodleMootUK 2011 (MOOTUK11) will be nothing but a distant memory.

Today we are announcing this year's exhibitors and sponsors, update you on the workshops & keynotes and share some important dates for your diary with you.

Workshops
This year's UK Moot saw a record number of submissions to the call for papers. According to Philip Butler, ULCC's Senior e-Learning Adviser "the Programme Committee had to go into overdrive to cope with the additional work of reading through all the submissions. We had 85 proposals representing a wide range of learning providers from all sectors and all over the world, so trying to shortlist them and get them to a more manageable 40 has been a tremendously tough job!"

After two rounds of marking we can now confirm the accepted workshops and a full list can be found on the conference website: http://bit.ly/mootuk11_WS

Sponsors
We are pleased to announce that CampusM will be sponsoring the MOOTUK11 conference app, which will be available on Apple & Android devices.

ECHO360 is going to record and make available online all of the parallel workshop sessions, something we felt strongly about considering the number of high-quality workshop proposals received and accepted this year.

Both will have an exhibition stand and sharing the spaces available with them will be EQUELLA, REfLECT (a PebblePad & Institute of Learning Showcase), Remote-Learner and ULCC. You can find out more about the sponsors here: http://bit.ly/MOOTUKSponsors

Pre-Moot Unconference
We are looking to have 3-4 themes that will run parallel and it is up to you, the community as a whole and the delegates attending on the day to decide what they are. There are two ways to get involved. You can leave your suggestion(s) for themes in the comment section of the Unconference blog post (http://bit.ly/mootuk11Unconf) or tweet about them using the following hashtags #mootuk11 #unconf until 23 March 2011.

So put your thinking hats on, comment and tweet and help us make the pre-Moot Unconference an event from developers for developers.

Last tickets
After the rush on the MOOTUK11 Early Bird tickets in January we had a constant stream of bookings and now less than 20 tickets are still up for grabs. Get yours here: http://bit.ly/gcyfpa
