The Digital Preservation Training Programme (DPTP) is designed for all those working in information management who are grappling with fundamental issues of digital preservation. It provides the skills and knowledge necessary for institutions to combine organisational and technological perspectives and devise an appropriate response to the challenges that digital preservation needs present.
DPTP is operated and organised by ULCC with contributions from invited expert and is supported by the Digital Preservation Coalition which originally helped to establish the course in 2005.
This is the sixth time DCP have offered scholarships to attend the course. Successful applicants will be asked to help promote the course and the work of the coalition. The DPC have supported a total of twenty four scholarships to attend this course.
The scholarship is available to DPC members, associates, personal members and prospective members. The scholarship is not available to individuals that have previously attended DPTP.

Applications will be assessed by a selection committee; successful applicants will be notified on or before 31st October 2011.
Recipients will be asked to present a short written report within 6 months of the grant showing how support from the DPC has helped career development.
